• Kaushik Ranchod

  Attorney, CEO

  Kaushik Ranchod is author of the Immigration Law Handbook “Foreign Medical Graduate Hiring Made Easy“Kaushik Ranchod has spoken at conferences and the radio (KPFA, F.M.) advising small to fortune 500 companies and individuals on the latest developments in immigration law. Mr. Ranchod has lectured on Alternatives to the H-1B visa, I-9 Verification, E-Verify, and Social Security Mismatch Letters at The National Summit on Employment Law and Compliance, and at the HRStar conferences in Los Angeles. Mr. Ranchod was admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court in 1998. He was a delegation member of the American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF) for San Francisco and is actively involved in the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA). Mr. Ranchod served on the Board of Directors for the South Asian Bar Association in Northern California. Kaushik Ranchod is also a member of the foreign medical graduate task force, which is an association that advocates for advantageous health care immigration legislation. Attorney Ranchod graduated from the University of Southern California as valedictorian of his major (first in his class), was awarded the outstanding senior in public administration and was added to the Trojan Wall of Fame. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings, in San Francisco and is ready to help you with all of your immigration and citizenship needs. When he is not working, Kaushik enjoys hiking in the San Francisco Bay Area, an interest he developed from his childhood days as an Eagle Scout.

• Melissa Oklan

  Attorney of Counsel

  Melissa Oklan practices exclusively in the area of immigration and nationality law, having previously practiced immigration law at a prominent firm in Miami, Florida, as both an Associate and then later as a Supervising Attorney. During her time in Florida, Ms. Oklan represented clients at master and individual hearings for relief under asylum, withholding of removal, the Convention Against Torture, and Cancellation of Removal for both Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) and non-LPRs. She also prepared waivers of the grounds of inadmissibility and applications for advance permission to return to unrelinquished domicile. Ms. Oklan also worked on a variety of appellate cases including cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals and United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She has been with Ranchod Law Group for 10 years.

From a young age, Kevin has been captivated by the art of woodworking. The process of taking raw materials and transforming them into functional and beautiful pieces fills him with joy and a sense of accomplishment. Whether it’s crafting furniture, intricately carving designs, or constructing small structures, Kevin finds deep fulfillment in the artistry and craftsmanship of working with wood. Beyond his woodworking endeavors, Kevin is devoted to practicing martial arts. This discipline not only helps him maintain physical fitness but also instills in him qualities such as discipline, focus, and self-defense skills. Through martial arts, Kevin discovers a path for personal growth and constantly challenges himself, both mentally and physically. When Kevin isn’t honing his woodworking skills or perfecting his martial arts techniques, you’ll likely find him immersed in the world of movies. His love for cinema allows him to explore different narratives, genres, and storytelling techniques. It serves as a source of inspiration and relaxation, fueling his creativity and broadening his perspective. • Karina Jaramillo

  Client Relations Manager

  Karina Camacho is a dedicated professional with a degree in Criminal Justice. During my academic journey, I actively participated in the Criminal Justice Organization, where I contributed to various volunteer initiatives such as SWAT, Safe Rides, Habitat for Humanity, and more. It was an honor to be elected Sergeant of Arms and be part of a leadership program that enriched my skills. For the past eight fulfilling years, I’ve been a proud member of the Ranchod Law Group, serving as the Client Relations Manager. Witnessing the positive impact our work has on clients and reuniting families is the most rewarding aspect of my role. Beyond the legal sphere, I cherish moments with my family and enthusiastically explore new activities. Running and hiking are passions that keep me energized, and engaging in arts is our family’s joyous bonding activity. My approach to life is to embrace every moment and seek the positive in every situation.
