  Bobby Reed

  President

  Bobby Reed is an entrepreneur and business owner with an expertise in Custom Software Solutions. He has been providing custom solutions to political campaigns, small businesses, associations, and nonprofits since 2002. Bobby started his business shortly after graduating from MIT with a degree in Computer Science in 2002, where he focused his studies on emerging web technologies. His first solutions included cloud based voter targeting database programs. From there, he added professional web design to his portfolio, along with online fundraising and eCommerce solutions. After successfully developing over 30 websites, he launched his first Software as a Service (SaaS) solution focused on fundraising in the political arena, and grew that product to support clients in California and Washington DC. Bobby incorporated his business as Capitol Tech Solutions, and now their works focus on technical consulting, application development, mobile application development, and energy efficiency applications based on the in house cloud infrastructure. In addition to the online solutions, he grew his technical consulting business to provide software expertise to Apple, Pearson, and the California Medical Association. Bobby has been the lead project manager on several internal applications, as well as providing technical consulting to local businesses. Recently, Bobby developed an application to manage energy in portable classrooms using wireless thermostats. He developed the technical specification documentation after meeting with end users, and then saw the project through to completion. Today, Capitol Tech Solutions is a fast growing technical solutions firm based in Midtown Sacramento, with 13 employees and counting. The company reflects Bobby’s core values of hard work and quality service, and has a passion for improving business experiences through custom technical solutions. Bobby was born and raised in El Dorado County, and now lives in Sacramento with his wife Erin and boys Eli and Isaac.

  Jeremy Hawes

  Project Manager

  Jeremy served in the United States Army from 2001 - 2005 handling administration and database development for transportation logistics. After completing his service he then completed his B.S. in Business Management in 2010 and then began working in website & software design and development. As his team grew he began to play less of a role in development and more of a role in project management. He joined Capitol Tech Soltuions in September of 2015 as the new project manager. Jeremy grew up in Sacramento and has lived here a majority of his life. He is married to Linda, has 4 boys, and loves hanging out with family and friends. When he's not at work or home you can typically find him eating out somewhere yummy.

  Steve Reed Jr.

  Software Engineer

  Steve started his career developing projects for the State of California, with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. There he honed his .NET development skills and server development. He joined Capitol Tech Solutions in 2009 as the first employee, and has been focused on building web based applications both internally for CTS and on client projects. His projects include MVC applications, web services, front end java development, and extensive SQL development. Steve's projects have helped fuel the growth of CTS and he currently serves as the lead .NET developer on staff.

  Software Engineer

  Mr. Reed has been a software professional for 40 years. During this time he has worked in nearly all fascists of the industry: Operating System development, Database Design and Development, User Specifications, and formal classroom teaching. During a portion of his career he worked for a Fortune 100 company where he managed a staff of Software Engineers. He made a conscious career choice to focus on technical development over management. He currently specializes in software development for control systems, and works vertically within the systems from iPhone and Android development to website design and deployment.

  Steve Davey

  Director of Business Development

  Steve Davey has nearly 20 years of experience as a senior legislative, regulatory, media and political strategist. Steve has served as a Chief of Staff in both the Senate and Assembly. He also has extensive experience as a campaign consultant on local, regional and statewide campaigns and initiatives. In addition, Steve has managed coalition building, grassroots development and media relations strategies for a variety of clients. Steve also served as Director of Government Affairs and Public Affairs for a statewide trade association. In this capacity, he developed and implemented the overall legislative, regulatory and political strategy at the state and local levels. Steve was responsible for raising funds and managing the association’s Political Action Committee and Independent Expenditure Committee. He worked with the Communications team to create messaging to the media on political and policy issues. Davey is native Californian and lives in the Sacramento region with his children. He enjoys the outdoors, running, skiing and golf. He is a graduate and proud alumni of the University of California, Los Angeles. Go Bruins!

  Benjamin Moulton

  PowerSchool SIS Engineer

  Ben first started programming by recreating Pong and Asteroids as a teenager. After he got his degree in Computer Science from UC Davis in 2007, he started working at a Fortune 500 company developing Auto Insurance software. He later transitioned to Web Development, becoming the sole developer for the California Medical Association. Today he specializes in PHP, JavaScript, SQL and .NET working for a variety of websites.

  Ed Gywnn

  IT System & Network Admin

  Ed started his post college career in the entertainment software industry way back in 1988. Over a span of 15 years he worked for three prominent software development companies in various capacities on a wide variety of products. Working with both internal and external development teams, Ed feels he has had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and experienced individuals in the industry. Breaking from the entertainment software business, Ed became a tinkerer in a number of areas, not the least of which were very basic and simple HTML5, CSS, and even Python. Recognizing that he would only ever be a tinkerer, he furthered his education by attending MTI Sacramento and earned an AS degree in Systems Administration. Capitol Tech Solutions is a dream come true for Ed and he is enjoying the continued (and often overwhelming) training and education he is receiving.

  Che graduated from California State University of Sacramento with a degree of Bachelor of Science: Graphic Design in 2015. After graduated from College, he started to explore different things in related fields. Today he continues to seek different opportunities and accumulate skills in creative fields. Also, proceeds on the path of the creative career.
