  • Dr. Michael Reget

    Medical Director, DVM

    Dr. Michael Reget was born in Los Angeles and raised in Bishop, California. He attended California State University Fresno, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1996. Dr. Reget obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 upon graduation from the University of California at Davis. He then completed a one-year internship at a Sacramento area 24-hour general and specialty practice where he continued on as an associate veterinarian for another 12 years. Dr. Reget has interests in all aspects of veterinary medicine especially surgery, dentistry, emergency medicine and reproduction. When away from the clinic he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, kayaking, biking, woodworking and most outdoor activities. He and his wife have two daughters and share their home with several family pets.

  • Dr. Taro Cuetara

    Associate Veterinarian, DVM

    Dr. Cuetara was a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major at U.C. Berkeley before going on to graduate first in his class from the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He has a particular interest in canine and feline Internal Medicine and Surgery, and strives toward perfection of his skills in order to always practice the highest level of medicine. Dr. Cuetara, his wife and three children share their home with a large number of furry and feathered companions, including cats, dogs, parrots, tortoises, guinea pigs, a goat and a pig. (Ask him for a complete list when you come in to see him!)

  • Dr. Moira Goldie

    Associate Veterinarian, DVM

    Dr. Goldie graduated from the University of Liverpool School of Veterinary Sciences, Liverpool, England in 2001. She spent the first year after graduation working for the British government during a foot and mouth outbreak in sheep and cattle. She then returned to her home in California and began her career in small animal private practice in the Bay Area. Over the years she has worked in hospitals that have given her a strong training in managing medical and surgical cases and educating owners in the needs of their pets. Dr. Goldie joined VCA Mueller Animal Hospital in 2006 where she enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice veterinary medicine. She looks forward to many years of getting to know families and helping them care for their furry members.

  • Dr. Brian Charn

    Associate Veterinarian, DVM

    Dr. Charn graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and then spent a year completing an internship at Ohio State University before returning to the Sacramento Area. He has a professional interest in emergency medicine and enjoys the emergency shifts he covers both at VCA Mueller and other Bay Area emergency hospitals. Dr. Charn has two loveable mutts. He is also an avid runner and cyclist.

  • Dr. John Elliott

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Elliott is a native Californian. Originally from Santa Ana, he moved to Davis in 1979. Dr. Elliott worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician for four and a half years, including one and a half years in the Intensive Care Unit at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, while completing his education and awaiting acceptance to vet school. He graduated in 1984 from the University of California at Davis and completed an internship with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group. He later accepted a position at SAMG and eventually worked in their Elk Grove practice for several years. In June of 1995 he came to VCA Mueller Animal Hospital, where he pursues a strong interest in Feline Medicine and Surgery. His long range goals include Board Certification in Feline Medicine and Surgery from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr. Elliott relaxes by gardening at his Napa Valley home, is actively involved with many rescued and handicapped felines and enjoys many activities with his wife and children.

  • Dr. Keidy Gropp

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Gropp was born and raised in Costa Rica. She always wanted to be a veterinarian, so after graduation from National University, she was accepted into Veterinary School in Costa Rica. Upon graduation, she was offered the opportunity to come to U.S. to further her education. Dr. Gropp went to UC Davis, Washington State University and Anoka Equine Veterinary Services in Minnesota. She decided to pursue her Veterinary License in the U.S., and accomplished her goal with hard work, dedication and the support of her family and colleagues. Having family in Costa Rica allows Dr. Gropp to visit them and enjoy the beautiful country. She loves swimming, hiking, camping, surfing and dancing. She has two adorable Dobermans and one cat, named Kognac, Kalypso and Nani.

  • Dr. Petra Tavano

    Associate Veterinarian, DVM

    Dr. Tavano was born and raised in the Sacramento area. She has always had a passion for animals, and worked for several years before veterinary school as an emergency and ICU veterinary technician. After graduating with highest honors from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, she stayed at UC Davis and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. Tavano worked at a high volume 24 hour general practice and emergency clinic in Sacramento for the next 2 years and then went on to exclusively emergency practice for a year in the Stockton and Merced emergency rooms. While she enjoys the excitement and challenges of emergency medicine, she missed general practice, and was excited to join the Mueller Pet Medical Center team where she can do both! Dr. Tavano currently resides in West Sacramento with her husband Greg, her daughter Alyssa, her new baby Samuel, her dogs Miles and Mimi, and her four cats, Nala, Gracie, Violet, and Turtle. While she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, her special interests are feline, geriatric, dermatology, and emergency medicine. When not being a veterinarian or caring for her kids and furry family, she enjoys traveling, hot yoga, and spending time with her family and friends.

  • Dr. Cyndi Slosser

    Associate Veterinarian, DVM

    Dr. Slosser comes to California by way of Michigan, Virginia and New York. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia in 1992, and graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Slosser loves the diversity of general practice, and providing education for her clients. She and her husband Duane have a beautiful little girl as well as two dogs and "many” cats.

  • Dr. Matthew Woodall

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Matt Wooddall is thrilled to be joining the VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center this year, bringing the enthusiasm of a new graduate and 16 years of veterinary experience as a former technician. Dr. Wooddall is a 2016 graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and is originally from Stockton, California. He first fell in love with the veterinary profession in the year 2000 when he started working as a kennel assistant. From there he went on to work as a technician at veterinary hospitals in Stockton, Lodi, Sacramento, Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara. Dr. Wooddall worked incredibly hard during those 16 years to transfer to UC Santa Barbara, where he became the first in his family to graduate from college, with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. He was awarded the Jim Clark Excellence in Communication scholarship and was selected by his classmates to speak at their 2016 commencement ceremony. Professional interests include small animal medicine, exotic and wildlife medicine, alternative treatment modalities, and improving vet-client communication. Personal interests include photography, travel, hiking, collecting vinyl records, watching movies, and rooting for his favorite teams (go Kings!). He lives in Sacramento with his wife Carolyn and two energetic terriers Fred and Ginger. Dr. Wooddall is excited to meet you and your furry family member(s) soon!
